Helping support The Foundation for Citizenship and Good Citizenship Awards.
The Roscoe Foundation for Citizenship here at LJMU is committed to encouraging active citizenship and promoting the development of ethical students and staff within the university and an ethos of citizenship in the wider community. To this end, a programme of prestigious Roscoe lectures, which are free to attend, and a programme of Good Citizenship Awards in local schools has been established. Over the last decade LJMU has invited some of the country’s leading commentators to join the people of Liverpool in discussing the issues that really matter to them. These public lectures have used humour, cutting edge research and political insight to explore what it means to be a good citizen in today’s society.
The Foundation for Citizenship, Roscoe lectures and Good Citizenship Awards can only exist with the support of donations and sponsorship to help us keep the issue of citizenship integral to the very foundation of our society, ensuring the longevity and continued relevance of citizenship for future generations in Liverpool and beyond.
